The Mortgage Banker Association (MBA) of America is a National Association serving approximately 3,000 member real estate finance companies, along with their more than 350,000 employees. Founded in 1914 under the nomenclature of the Farm Mortgage Bankers Association (FMBA), the Mortgage Banker Association has an agenda including: advocacy, education, research & communications. Today, MBA serves residential, multifamily & commercial companies, & notes that 3 out of 5 American homes were financed by MBA member firms. Even more impressive is the $3 trillion in home mortgages that are serviced each year by MBA member companies.
